What is Coastline?
Coastline is a personal financial planning app built natively for macOS. It helps you track your net worth, project your financial future, manage your portfolio, plan taxes, set budgets, and model withdrawal strategies — all in one place.
Is Coastline a web app?
No. Coastline is a native macOS application. This means it's fast, integrates with your system, and your data benefits from macOS-level security. You download and run it directly on your Mac.
What macOS version do I need?
Coastline requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later, and works on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
Billing & Subscriptions
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Coastline comes with a 14-day free trial with full access to every feature. No credit card required to start. After your trial ends, you can subscribe to continue using the app.
How much does it cost?
Coastline is available as a monthly ($9.99/mo) or annual ($79.99/yr) subscription. The annual plan saves you about 33%. Prices are in USD. It's also available on the Mac App Store.
Can I cancel anytime?
Absolutely. You can cancel your subscription at any time. You'll retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period.
How do I manage my subscription?
If you subscribed through our website, you can manage your subscription through the Paddle customer portal — accessible from within the app or by contacting support. If you subscribed through the Mac App Store, manage it through System Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes. If you're not satisfied, contact us within 14 days of your purchase for a full refund. After 14 days, you can still cancel and your access will continue until the end of your billing period.
Security & Privacy
How is my financial data protected?
Account connections are handled securely through Plaid, a trusted financial data provider used by thousands of apps. We never store your bank login credentials. Your financial data stays on your device and in your iCloud account — Coastline does not store your account balances, transactions, or holdings on our servers.
Do you sell my data?
No. Your financial data is never sold, shared with third parties for marketing, or used for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
What is Plaid?
Plaid is a secure financial data service that connects your bank and investment accounts to apps like Coastline. When you link an account, you authenticate directly with your bank through Plaid — we never see your credentials.
